The Estate
The Château Lanessan estate covers 350 hectares, of which 85 hectares of vines are located in Cussac-Fort-Médoc, a village bordering the Saint-Julien appellation. The vines, which are on average 30 years old, produce high-quality grapes on a terroir consisting of gravel, brown soils with some marl and limestone.
The terroir
The Haut-Médoc terroir, where Château Lanessan is located, is renowned for its gravelly and clayey ridge soils, providing ideal conditions for growing Bordeaux grape varieties.
