This Gaillac vineyard is located on gravelly soils, very stony but well drained. The wines from this terroir are very fragrant and age with great refinement. This dry white Gaillac from Domaine Rotier develops aromas of light fruits such as peach and pear with a discreet touch of vanilla. This wine will pair pleasantly with most  white meats, fish and even some cheeses.

The Estate

Located between Gaillac and Albi, the Rotier family estate was founded in 1985. Today, it has become a pillar of the Gaillac vineyard. As a matter of course, for the health of people and nature, the Rotier estate has turned to organic viticulture and has obtained organic certification since the 2012 vintage. It is with humility and rigor that Maison Rotier strives to create excellent Gaillac appellation wines.

The terroir

Planted on a plateau formed by the middle alluvial terrace of the Tarn river, the vines of Domaine Rotier are located on very beautiful gravelly soils.

The grape variety

The Loin de l'œil grape variety, also called Len de l'ehl, is a grape variety native to the South-West and more precisely to Gaillac. It takes its name from its morphology, its bunch of grapes grows far from the bud that gave birth to it. It produces dry or sweet white wines of great finesse.

The wine

The Gaillac blanc Renaissance from Domaine Rotier is a little masterpiece that reveals aromas of white-fleshed fruits such as peach and pear and grapefruit with a hint of vanilla. It is a complex and balanced wine that will deliciously accompany a fish dish, poultry or sheep's cheese. This half-bottle of Gaillac is a treasure to have in your cellar!

Dare to try half-bottle wine!
