The Estate
L'Ancienne Cure is a family estate located in the heart of the Dordogne Valley, in Colombier, for 5 generations. It is one of the essential properties of the Bergeracois that Christian Roche inherited in 1984. Protecting the environment is particularly close to his heart, and he has been producing organic wines since 2012. His love of vines and the pleasure of producing different wines depending on the year keep him motivated to share them with you.
The terroir
Between the slightly calcareous clay soil at the bottom of the slope for the Sauvignon and the clay-limestone soil on the hillside for the Sémillon, this fertile terroir gives the wine all its subtleties and a particular authenticity in each vintage.
The grape variety
Sauvignon is the grape variety of excellence for dry white wines, it is very expressive and develops intense aromas of boxwood and white fruits. Sémillon brings roundness and complexity to dry white wines, it gives fine wines that age well.
The wine
This Bergerac Sec, carefully crafted at Domaine de l'Ancienne Cure, will seduce your palate with its distinct aromas of very ripe Sauvignon and some notes of boxwood. The attack is frank with notes of white fruits and citrus fruits. This half-bottle of Jour de Fruit will deliciously accompany an aperitif or a seafood platter.
