Domaine Rolet is the family business par excellence. Created in the 1940s by Désiré Rolet, the Domaine is now under the responsibility of the children who share the management of the vines and the winemaking for Bernard and Guy and the marketing for Pierre and Éliane. All four are driven by the same passion: the quintessence of the grape.
The composition of the soil is of little importance for the vin de paille. What is important is the selection of the most beautiful bunches that are picked at good maturity on the oldest vines. These bunches of grapes will be dried for several months, which will have the effect of increasing their sugar concentration. The vin de paille is a sweet wine of great finesse and very smooth, its color is bright and amber. It will release aromas of caramelized fruits and sweet spices. This wine from Domaine Rolet will pair wonderfully with pan-fried foie gras, nut cheese or fruit tarts.
