In the north of the Jura, this terroir of light marl and gravelly limestone gives rise to this incomparable wine with a slightly mountainous temperament. This white Arbois Chardonnay from Domaine Rolet, with a pale color and slightly golden highlights, is a wine with a scent of white flowers and a slight hint of vanilla. It is an attractive Arbois that will pair perfectly with cold starters, gratins or grilled fish.

The Estate
Created by Désiré Rolet in 1942, Domaine Rolet is today one of the jewels of the Jura vineyard. The Jura vineyard offers exceptional diversity and Domaine Rolet reflects all the richness of this terroir through the 4 geographical appellations: Arbois, Côtes du Jura, L'Étoile, and Château-Chalon. In 2018, the Rolet family transferred its estate to 3 families passionate about wine and the Jura, the Devillard family, the Dupuis family and the Flambert family. A new page is then written with the desire to always express the beautiful diversity of Jura wines.
The terroir
Located in the commune of Montigny-lès-Arsures, this Arbois Chardonnay comes from a blend of plots planted on a hillside in the Lieu-dit "En Chagnon". The soil is mainly composed of fatty gravel with some gray marl from the Lias.
The grape variety
Chardonnay is the most represented grape variety in the Jura, it covers 48% of the vineyard. It is the only grape variety used in the production of this Arbois from Domaine Rolet.
The wine
This Arbois Chardonnay from Maison Rolet has a beautiful light color with golden highlights. The nose is very pleasant, vanilla with lemony notes. Its characteristic terroir gives it breadth and minerality. Drink now to enjoy its freshness and chiseled side or keep for 8 to 10 years to appreciate its suppleness and roundness.
