The Estate

Château Haut-Monplaisir is a family estate located in Lacapelle-Cabanac, at the western end of the Cahors appellation, in the Lot Valley. Since 1998, Cathy and Daniel Fournié have cultivated 30 hectares of vines, mainly Malbec, on the third terraces of the Lot, characterized by clay-siliceous, stony soils rich in rolled pebbles .

From the moment they arrived, the Fourniés committed the estate to an organic farming approach, certified since 2012, by banning chemical weedkillers and promoting natural grassing of the plots . Their daughter Mathilde joined them in 2015, bringing a new dynamic to the estate while respecting family traditions .
