The Estate
Dominique Joseph represents the fourth generation of winemakers at the head of this family estate. He took the reins of the Le Petit Saint Vincent estate in 1990, drawing on the experience acquired within his family, while bringing his own touch.
The estate covers 12 hectares of vines around the village of Varrains, in the heart of the Saumur Champigny appellation. Mainly planted with Cabernet Franc, the property's terroirs produce fruity, subtle and rich Saumur Champigny.
The vines, aged between 30 and 80 years old, benefit from attentive care such as grassing, pruning, disbudding, thinning and leaf removal to guarantee a harvest of perfectly ripe grapes.
The harvest is entirely manual, which allows sorting to be carried out before vatting.
The estate is now organically farmed.
The Wine
Aromas of small black and red fruits, a spicy touch and a lovely roundness: a delicate wine, ideal for spring.
