A sure value of French know-how.

Château Grand Mayne is a Grand Cru Classé of the Saint-Emilion Appellation. It is produced by the Nony Family, owners of this historic estate since 1934. This Saint-Emilion Grand Cru is a blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. It is a wine of exceptional elegance and refinement that can be enjoyed with a leg of lamb, charcuterie or a dish in sauce.

The Estate

The Nony Family has owned Château Grand Mayne since 1934 and watches over, down to the smallest details, its illustrious vineyard harmoniously distributed around the Château. The Estate covers 17 hectares and the average age of the vines is 35 years. The priority of the House is quality rather than quantity. This is how wines of dazzling elegance and nobility are born.

The terroir

The Estate is spread over 17 hectares on a clay-limestone hillside. The foot of the hillside is made up of clay and ancient sand on clay. It is a varied and complex terroir with multiple facets that allows the vines to develop harmoniously and give birth to excellent wines.

The grape variety

The majority grape variety is Merlot. It flourishes and gives its best on the Bordeaux terroirs. Merlot gives the wine its dark color and its aromas of black fruits. Cabernet Franc is present in smaller quantities. When it comes from clay-sand soils, it gives the wine aromas of tobacco and violet.

The wine

Château Grand Mayne is a Grand Cru Classé of the Saint-Emilion Appellation. It is an authentic and refined wine with a dark red color with amethyst highlights. It is very expressive and reveals a wide aromatic palette, blueberry, redcurrant, spices and chocolate. This Grand Cru Classé will be enjoyed with a game dish or a leg of lamb, braised meat or a rump steak or a hard cheese.

Dare to try small bottles of wine!
