This estate is ranked ** in the guide to the best wines of France published by La Revue du Vin de France.
It is an essential area of French terroir.
This Saint-Aubin, produced by Maison Vincent Girardin, displays beautiful complexity and richness. It perfectly combines the freshness of Chardonnay, floral and fruity notes, and a lovely minerality. A half-bottle of a slightly less renowned Burgundy appellation to enjoy quietly and then share.

The Estate
Vincent Girardin created this wine estate in 1982 from 3 hectares of vines historically belonging to his family in the commune of Santenay. In the 1990s, he managed to acquire around fifteen hectares of vines by purchasing locally. The 2000s represented a real turning point in the history of the Estate. Indeed, the addition of Domaine Henri Clair de Puligny-Montrachet in 2000 brought very great appellations (Bienvenue Bâtard-Montrachet for example). In addition, Eric Germain joined the Estate in 2002 to take charge of winemaking. His training, experience, and significant oenological skills then represented an essential asset for Vincent Girardin. In 2012, Vincent Girardin sold the estate to the Compagnie des Vins d'Autrefois based in Beaune and a long-standing partner of the Estate. The team, however, has remained the same and continues to perpetuate the original spirit.
The terroir
Around fifty years old, the vines are located in the commune of Saint-Aubin, just behind Montrachet, halfway up the hillside, and enjoy a beautiful southern exposure. The soil is made up of white clay and very chalky soils.
The grape variety
Originating in Burgundy, Chardonnay produces exceptional white wines. It particularly thrives in the clay-limestone soils of its region of origin, but it also has a great ability to adapt to different climates and soils. This has allowed it to become the most widely cultivated white grape variety in the world.
The wine
This Saint-Aubin Premier Cru En Remilly has a beautiful golden color. This half-bottle offers great aromatic purity. The nose is floral and fruity. On the palate, the attack is fresh thanks to the Chardonnay, followed by subtle buttery and mineral notes. This Saint-Aubin from Maison Vincent Girardin will pair perfectly with white meats and fish, but will also delight you with goat cheese.
Dare to try half-bottle wine!
