The Estate
The Mérieau estate is a vineyard located in the Loire Valley, more precisely in the Touraine appellation, in Indre-et-Loire.
This family estate, cultivated using organic farming, is renowned for the quality of its wines produced from local grape varieties such as Chenin, Sauvignon Blanc, and Cabernet Franc.
The vines are planted on varied terroirs, offering a great diversity of expressions and a beautiful typicity in the wines, combining freshness and complexity. The estate mainly produces white, red and rosé wines, with a particular emphasis on balance and respect for the terroir.
The Wine
"Bois Jacou" is a red wine with a ruby color. It is fruity and easy to drink, offering aromas of red fruits. Easy to drink, it is consumed young. This wine comes from vines aged 10 to 60 years, grown on clay-limestone soils with a south-southeast exposure. The vinification includes carbonic and traditional maceration.
It goes perfectly with rillettes, grilled meats and mild cheeses. To be enjoyed chilled or at room temperature.
