The Estate
Domaine Tabordet is located in the heart of the Sancerre vineyards, in the small town of Verdigny, in the Centre Val de Loire region. This village is renowned for the quality of its wines and the expertise of its winegrowers. This family business was taken over in 1981 by Yvon and Pascal Tabordet and then joined in 2008 by Gaël and Marius, their respective sons. The property covers 16.5 hectares, currently being converted to organic farming.
The terroir
The soil of this terroir is composed of Villiers limestone, these flat white pebbles also called caillottes. These draining grounds warm up in the spring, thus promoting early maturity.
The grape variety
Sauvignon blanc is a great grape variety capable of producing exceptional wines like this Pouilly-Fumé “Les Petites Aubues” from Domaine Tabordet.
The wine
This wine with white gold highlights offers a generous aromatic palette and floral scents of citrus fruits and fresh pepper. It will pair perfectly with spicy dishes, pork, shellfish and even foie gras.
