Chinon - Les Pierres Chaudes 2022 - Domaine Sandrine & Fabrice Gasnier in half-bottle 37.5 cl

It is in the department of Indre-et-Loire in the commune of Cravant-les-Côteaux that the vineyard of Domaine Fabrice Gasnier flourishes. The terroir is laid on a silica clay soil composed of granite pebbles and on a rather calcareous subsoil. This fresh Chinon is a delight with aromas of ripe fruits and a harmonious mouth. It will pair well with white or red meat, cold meats or cheese.

The Estate

Located in the Loire Valley in the town of Cravant les Coteaux, Domaine Fabrice Gasnier extends over around thirty hectares around the village of Chezelet. For four generations, this beautiful property has been working in the vineyards and respecting nature in order to offer biodynamic wines since 2008 that guarantee the most beautiful expression of the terroir.

The terroir

The vines of the “Les Pierres Chaudes” vintage from Domaine Sandrine and Fabrice Gasnier are planted on silica clay soil with small granitic pebbles and the subsoil is limestone.

The grape variety

Cabernet Franc is a red grape variety planted in Bordeaux but also found in the Loire Valley. Wines made from Cabernet Franc are beautifully complex with fine tannins and aromas of red berries and spices.

The wine

This lovely Chinon from Domaine Fabrice Gasnier is a rich and fruity red wine with great suppleness. It displays a beautiful aromatic palette of red fruits, a delicate palate and silky tannins.
