This traditional black grape variety from the Jura develops fully on this terroir of rich gravel. It appreciates the semi-continental climate of the Montesserin localities in Arbois and Chagnon and the Euvrin near Montigny-lès-Arsures. This red Arbois with aromas of raspberry and blackberry will release, over time, aromas of undergrowth. It will be enjoyed with meats in sauce, game and cheese.

The Estate
The jewel of the Jura vineyard, Domaine Rolet Père et Fils offers all the richness of the terroir through the wide range of Jura grape varieties. Chardonnay and Savagnin in white, Poulsard, Trousseau and Pinot Noir in red. Thanks to its meticulous work in the vineyard and a continual quest for optimal maturation, Domaine Rolet enjoys a great reputation and produces very great wines.
The terroir
Located in the Jura in the communes of Montigny-lès-Arsures and Arbois, the vines of this Trousseau are mainly exposed West and South. The soils rich in iridescent marl and clay with chert are the preferred land of the Trousseau grape variety.
The grape variety
Trousseau thrives on warm lands and on clay-limestone soils. It is a late grape variety that produces long-keeping wines, colorful, tannic and powerful with acidity combined with notes of red fruits.
The wine
This half-bottle Trousseau from Domaine Rolet Père et Fils highlights all the expertise of the Domaine. With an amber red color, this wine perfectly illustrates the potential of the Arbois vineyard. The nose reveals aromas of small red fruits such as redcurrant and raspberry. On the palate, it is structured on a persistent and fresh finish. This typical red wine will pair wonderfully with red meat or delicious game.
