This traditional black grape variety from the Jura develops fully on this terroir of rich gravel. It appreciates the semi-continental climate of the Montesserin localities in Arbois and Chagnon and the Euvrin near Montigny-lès-Arsures. This red Arbois with aromas of raspberry and blackberry will release, over time, aromas of undergrowth. It will be enjoyed with meats in sauce, game and cheese.

The terroir

Located in the Jura in the communes of Montigny-lès-Arsures and Arbois, the vines of this Trousseau are mainly exposed West and South. The soils rich in iridescent marl and clay with chert are the preferred land of the Trousseau grape variety.

The grape variety

Trousseau thrives on warm lands and on clay-limestone soils. It is a late grape variety that produces long-keeping wines, colorful, tannic and powerful with acidity combined with notes of red fruits.
